Default Back to the track after some small tweaks

Personal best:

7.54@91.9mph 11.92@111mph 1.69 60ft in 1329DA

New mods/changes:

1) corrected a short exhaust neck down from 3" to 2.25" after the headers to all 3"
2) 85mm GM MAF with aftermarket large mesh screen
3) new cone filter double the size of the old one with a velocity ring at the joint to the MAF
4) shorter tire, 275/50r15 ET street versus 325/50r15 ET street

New results:

*note* car had a tune which pulled 2* timing and it kept hitting the 6600rpm limiter going into 3rd, tune was also a little lean for e10 fuel at 13.4:1

12.13@110mph 1.74 60ft 1895 DA (don't have my 1/8th handy, trap was 90.4 though I remember that)

Track was a little iffy so I lose a little 60ft working to make it stick. Overall I guess I can't complain too much. I'm really hoping with the corrected tune (now running 27.5* timing and 12.6 air/fuel with 6600 shifts on a 6800 limit) and some good air I might be able to see an 11.8@112mph or better. I also pulled a lot of tools out of the trunk, should see a loss of 25-30lbs.

Car still doesn't MPH quite like I want but at the track it seems like the cars running 113-114mph can't start pulling to catch me. I plan to take the car to get weighed in race trim this week sometime. If it's under 3750# with me in it I'll be shocked.

I was hoping for a little better with the combo, but it is great fun on the street and to be honest it's one of the fastest true street cars that ever show at the track I run. Was just hoping to be a little closer to that 11.60 mark even in normal weather.

Not much else I can do to go faster with this motor outside of nitrous.

Haven't gone to the scales yet but it might answer some questions. Also have the aero of a brick doesn't help haha.

Never seen a bolt on ls1 car run that well, hell a lot of cammed cars are low 12s. Maybe it's just the track too?

Car runs great though, several cars that run 112-115 mph traps can't pull on me. The other day a ZR1 went WOT next to me from a 30 roll and I stopped his pull for a bit before traffic got in the way (I think he was in 2nd though, not 1st gear but I might be wrong). I left him pretty good at the light and he hadn't passed me by the time I let out around 60mph (I let him nail it first so I know he was WOT but spinning some).

Yes the Track PBIR was only 2 yrs old @ the time and all concrete + it was a -249 DA also so that helped but i really want that car back but my friend bought it for his 12yr old son @ the time so it just sits until he is 16 so another 2 yrs now until he drives it.

1320ft is the lowest DA I've ever ran at when the car was running right

it got down to the 800-900ft range once but at the time my valvesprings were floating and had damaged several cam lobes so the car was down MPH big time, I'm looking forward to the fall especially with this new tune I just put in the car
