You might need a clutch too with that much power and drag radials. Combination of street radials and hot summer air caused you to run slow. Your MPH in cool air should be 120-122MPH.

Steele doesn't prep the track very much on Friday night. Get you some better tires and go on Sunday.

Launch harder and shift faster. My cam only C5 Z06 used to run 11.60-11.70 @120-122 with 1.9/2.0 60's. Ur mph is there just need more seat time and a sticky tire.

Yeah, not to mention I bet a set of wider tires would help out. There is a reason c6 z06s run 11's with street tires.

they are 200 utqc or less, they are 335 compared to my feeble 285.

Why aren't you poking around over here?

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/perf...e-results-108/

Driving technique will help for sure. And, you can do better with different tires, not drag radials.

Drag radials will cause busted parts, hurt clutch etc.

For the Camaro guys, these C5's will hook very well with little to no mods. They just are fragile with a stick. A4 cars like mine need only tougher output shafts in the diff.

I made a few hits in mine with street rubber, never attempted a burnout, but went 12.0 @ 121. Drag radials, 11.30's so far, but it will go 11 flat when I can figure out how to get the friggin electronics to quit messing with me.

Cody, when you hook it better, you may lose a mph or two. Those dang stick cars really run on the back half......

FWIW, I have no idea what my RWHP is, don't really care, other than it's not enough!

Did anyone say get sticky tires yet? lol. Try to shift it faster too, wring it out all the way to the limiter.

3 problems:

1. Budget street tires.
2. Poor driving.
3. Generous dyno. You're not making 450rwhp with that H/C setup.

Last weekend I went 10.54 @ 122 with a 1.54 60', oh wait, I was out of gear

Really though, like everyone is telling you, get the tire to hook and I think you will be plesantly suprised.
