And... This just in from the NHRA competition in Maple Grove... Mike @ New Era spent an hour doing some remote tuning on the copo dialing in the launch, from the race track at Indianapolis lol. Guess who is the new fastest Copo Camaro in the country??? That's right, 8.62 @ 161 mph in the 1/4 mile!! Stay tuned, got a chance at getting another trophy this week and going even faster!

He went 8.499 at 161.44 at The Dutch Classic this weekend. Since he went 1.201 under the 9.700 SSA/A index, he "wins" a prize for all 4.0L COPO's. An 18hp hit (3.25% of rated hp rounded up) and 108# weight penalty (the 18hp * 6.0#/hp in SSA/A) as of tomorrow's NHRA review. The 4.0L Super Cobra Jet guys already were ribbing him saying "thanks".
For NHRA, the other issue is that you can't run under 8.50 without upgrading the cage significantly. Either way, darn quick / fast. Incrementals were as follows:

You guys at New Era Performance did "too good" of a job on the tune. DA was negative all weekend, too!
