Im gonna say it's the 28" tires and 3.23 gears. Definitely hurting you on an 1/8th mile track.

trap is bad low IMO, I would expect at least 90mph out of that setup and while the gears/tire size isn't ideal, it is not the bulk of the problem

for comparison my car runs nearly identical times with 3.42 and either 26" or 28" tire, it takes a larger difference in gearing to help much from my experience

the car should be trapping 90mph and running 7.5-7.8 as it sits on a 1.7 60ft unless something is wrong or the weather was way way beyond terrible...and that's based on my experience with a heavy car with crap aerodynamics

scan for codes, clean MAF, check o2 sensors, check plugs/wires, scan for trans slip, and go from there

also check it for spark, could be getting knock retard or have a bad sensor

Mine did and the car ran "normal" (felt slower but you never know when that's in your head) but it was down on trap over 6mph

HP tuners, efi live, or even a Snap On diagnostic scanner

you just want to look at your timing, PCM should be commanding 24-28* WOT and if you are getting any KR (knock retard) then you have a good place to start looking...if it's only a couple degrees you either have bad gas or a poo tune...if you have 6-9* or more being pulled you either have some horrendous fuel, a bad sensor, or whoever tuned it should not be allowed to touch your car again

I wouldn't be surprised to see that car running 93mph or more once you get it lined out. Just keep at it.

i ran a 8.484 with a 3600 stall long tube headers lid and a tune forgot my mph but it was like 80-85 mph i also had crappy street tires. With a stall its gonna feel like it slips a little maybe you just need more power to accommodate that big of a stall that you have and you def need to get different gears probably 3:73 should do it, But did you get anything else for your tranni besides the stall? maybe a stage 2 or stage 3 shift kit might help you out as well. I got parts ordered now cam gears lifters valve springs so im hoping ill be in the low 7's( 1/8th mile) once its all finished and the tuner said id should get 380rwhp and 405rwtrq.

yea well if i was you id get a stage 3 shift kit to help with that stall because thats going to beef it up to help with the power but also to minimize the stress that your stall does on the tranni. The 4L60E that im assuming you have usually breaks down quickly after you do any upgrades to the motor I know mine did so thats why when it did i got a 3600 stall and stage 2 shift kit. Hope this helps out.
