New 1/8mile ET (LS3 WS6)
Finally got around to getting the car to the local 1/8th mile at Immokalee this past weekend. Storms in the area dropped the temps into the mid 80's but it's still pretty damn hot out there, but all things considered it was a nice bump from where it used to be as a H/C LS1. Current setup is:
'00 WS6 M6
GMPP LS3
TFS 255's
Polluter v3
1 7/8" LT's
TSP true duals
Dana 60 w/ 4.10
Hosier 28x10.5" slicks
Best time of the night:
Bear in mind, Imokalee track prep amount to ensuring there is no standing gravel on the launch pad, that's about it lol! I did get some spin out of the hole but, I was having a hell of a time keeping the car from making a dead right-hand turn with each launch. Only able to complete 2 of 5 passes, having to end the other 3 within the first 200' with the car wandering towards the center lane. Either way, I did pick up a good 4mph and drop .3 from the previous best which were under ideal circumstances. Some work on getting out of the hole straight should get me into the more consistent low 1.5x 60's and hopefully 6.90's on the motor

Where are you launching at? Where are you shifting at?
You've got great parts out back, if your clutch and input shaft can handle it, get the clutch out faster around 5500-6000rpm without letting the nose drop.
Do you have a line lock? You've got good tires too so get them babies hot!
Still great progress for a shake down pass on a new set-up!
It's nice to see these Tick cams at the track making good hits. With a 99mph trap speed in a pretty much full weight car shows the power is there on a muggy night. Bet the DA was stupid as well being in Florida at the beginning of September.

Launching around 3800-4000, any higher this particular night and I'd really spin them hard. Didn't get a chance to play with tire pressure though, we were under threat of rain all night so I was trying to squeeze in anything I could before the night was done.
I actually do although I have to hook it back up, normally I could give them a pretty good heating and they'll start to bite right there forcing me to let off before it stalls or I launch into the tree operator lol
Thanks man, she's definatley a full weight car, and yes the DA is typically 1200-1400 this time of year (I'm actually a pilot in the area so I'll pick up the DA on animated weather observation all the time), doesn't make for great times but more importantly I can gauge where I was vs. where I am, the power is absolutley there, just have to do a better job of managing it. Can't thank you enough for the help Martin, like I told you over the phone, treat me right and my buisness is yours for good!

Whatever it takes to get the car to hook off a 5500-6000rpm launch is what needs to be done to knock that 60' down. Your car makes a lot of power between 4500-6500rpm and you need to stay within that window on launch to get the 60' and consequently the 330' down to get it in the 6's. With the 60' & 330' you had on this pass, you're just a negative DA track visit or a 100-200 DA track visit before you're in the 6's and 100+mph.
I think you can do it now though! Hook the line lock back up so you know you can get good heat in the tires. Drop the tire pressure to 11-12psi and watch the tire to make sure it doesn't spin on the rim when the tire plants.
Do you have adjustable shocks? You also should be shifting at no less than 6800rpm and you should really shift at 7200rpm.
There is no doubt in my mind that this is a solid 6.70-6.80 car with a good launch and good air.

That car is a contender, to be sure. Definitely hauls the mail!
If I'm not mistaken, I think the right lane was me… We were suckin' wind but you were ON FIRE brother.
Here's a video of our run:

Oh yeah… you bet. We were on a new tune that night, which overshot the shift point and she was rolling over and slammin' the limiter… We were +/- 1.0 off our last outing on the same tire.
Which wouldn't have helped us with you, on that pass… given your beast bested our best night by .3.
Hoping to have it resolved by this weekend. But I doubt we'll get it done by Friday.
Congrats on that wicked ride.

Glad to see the LS3 Polluter cam doing work at the track!
Remember guys, the internet experts say big cams in LS3's don't work and are just for dyno numbers...wonder where those guys are now...? This full weight car is easily a good launch and good DA away from 6.70's@100+ which is good for 10.70's-10.80's in the 1/4.
Is he setting the world on fire? No. Is he running very well for the first time to the track? I'd sure say so.

There's no question this combination is making power and making it in spades, and there's only room to grow! Big thanks to Martin and his Polluter cam and everybody else who contributed along the way.

LOL! Yeah it DO!
I laughed my *** off when I first saw it.
I wanted one that read: MASS'VFOOTPRINT But it was too long.
Then I thought "CarbonMaker". I liked "FKTEarth" but it needed a supplemental bumper sticker that reads: "I NEED SPEED".

You know, my goal all along was to be '1-step' up from where I was with the H/C 346. On a 100-shot the car made 505whp/48xwtq, so I figured if I could match those numbers N/A with an LS3, I'd be very happy. Well, that's exactly where I am today! Car made 501 at the dyno (with all of 400 miles on the clock), and just turned in 99mph traps in the 1/8th mile which is exactly where I was with the 100-shot previously. Mind you, I mentioned the issues launching the car, but what you can't see it me having to peddle it for a moment in 2nd while keeping the *** end straight.

I didn't see it at the time, but first time I saw the video I thought… "Rookies… Torque and P-factor can be a bitch, no prop, but he stills needs more left rudder."
