Default New PB, 11.41 @ 122.3 , H/C/I M6 TA

Managed a new PB a couple of weeks ago. Previous was 11.70. Installed UMI Tubular K-member, Upper lower A-arms and Viking DA Shocks. Still need to fine tune a LOT and this was my 4th outing at the track in the 8+ years I've owned the car. Had the thing running like a bracket car.

11.53, 11.56, 11.54, 11.51, 11.53 for 5 straight runs with an M6.

Finally upped the 2 step to 6300 RPM for the last run and broke the 11.49 goal I was looking for.

Basic mods list.

Stock short block
PRC 5.3L Stage 2.5 Heads
Torquer V3
FAST 90 with NW TB
MSD 2 step
MWC 9" 4.11 gears
Stock MAF
SLP Lid.
No weight redux except spare tire, jack and back seats.

Really looking into the Chrs1313 ram air scoop. Didn't want to delete the AC initially, but as often as I use it I think I will delete it so I can get the bigger scoop with the Non AC Version of it. Still experimenting with launch RPM, tire pressure, shocks settings, etc. Weather and track conditions were changing, so it's still a little confusing on what to change and when to change it. I'll get there eventually.

Congrats on the new best times. Good consistent driving especially rowing the ole gears

Always cool to get that new PB slip when you go by the time slip booth

Good job on the new PB. What settings are your shock? Tire size/pressure? Juss curious to know what's working for you.

Rear Strange SA shocks set at 6. Front Viking DA 2 rebound 14 compression. Running a 26" Stiff Wall MT ET Drag (3053S). Was adjusting tire pressure mostly. Started at 15 PSI, then 18 with minimal change in ET and 60', then 22. Spun bad with 22 PSI. All launches at 6000 RPM on 2 step. Backed pressure down to 19 PSI and upped to 6300 RPM. That was the new PB. May end up launching in the 6300/6400 RPM range from now on.

Nice job! I really wanted to get out to Milan and try my new setup, but never made it. What was your race weight?

Thanks. Nice to see a fellow Berserker on here. I was GIFD at the track.

No idea. Took out spare tire, jack and back seats. Have UMI K-member and upper/lower A-arms up front and that's it as far as any weight redux might go. Once I delete my A/C and ABS I'll try to weigh it for a baseline. I'm assuming around 3750 lbs at least with me in it. I'm 230 lbs.

I was impressed before you mentioned your raceweight.

Good runs. Yeah get a CAI kit. SSRA made a big difference on my car when it was bolt- ons with stock stall.
