Default 11.84@113 stock internal (2010 Camaro SS)

Notes:
  • I pulled the passenger and rear seat out
  • 305/45R18 NT05R drag radials, 20 psi
  • Same DA as my 11.90 (seats in), and 12.06 (pre 3.91 gears)

I will try 1-2 more times to go 11.79, but I need killer air.

2015 I will be doing heads, cam, and 17x9.5s in the back. And switch to MH drag radials.

way to keep chipping away at it !

Do you trailer your car to the track? if not can you ? or come up with some way to start with a dead cold car you can warm up just enough to warm fluids ? just thinking it could make up for some DA. Before I was into 4th gens and before I had a trailer I used to park my car at the track in the morning and catch a ride to work with a co worker that lived near the track.

Good luck , I hope you get it.

No I drive it there and cool it off. I will try again for an 11.79 before our tracks close for the season. Then next year doing heads and cam. And going for 10.99.

I love the styling of the 5th gen, the weight not so much.

Quick recap of the mods I have done and times run. DA was pretty similar for all of them, around 0 to 500.

13.15@106 1.95 | 100% Stock
12.37@112 1.85 | Headers, Cats | 20" 555R DR | CAI | UDP | Tune
12.06@113 1.70 | +NT05R 18s | + Circle D 3200 + LSR toe rods'n trailing arms
11.84@113 1.59 | + 3.91s | +Race Star 17x7s + catless
Mods: GPI Tune | Bo's PTB | Kooks LTs | Hooker Maxflows | Circle D 3200 | New Era OTR | RCR AirRam Manifold | Powerbond UDP | 3.91s

I have gone 114 and if I was locking the converter I'd probably go 115 just to put that out there.

Thanks the car is getting less boring.

We'll swap the heads and cam before Xmas, and have the car ready to go. Going for 10.99 but anticipate running at least 11.25s right off the bat. 470rwhp vs my stock 370rwhp.

I'm actually #9 on the Camaro5 bolt-on list. Quickest runs are 11.44 and 11.45. I know the 11.45 car has 100 more lbs out than my car, and a bit more converter. The 11.44 was done in mine shaft air with a newer model and Terry's car was always stronger from stock.

If I went from a 3200 to 3600, ran in -1000 DA, and pulled 100 lbs out of the car I think I'd go high 11.5's. I've never been lucky enough to have that sort of air but I'm watching for it. And I'm not pulling out my bumper supports.

1 11.44
2 11.45
3 11.60
4 11.65
5 11.71
6 11.72
7 11.78
8 11.83
9 11.84

So I'd love to run 11.77 but have no idea other than wait for negative DA on how I would get there.

Are the faster guys getting you in the 60' or pulling harder down the track?

A mix, one of the guys who went 11.45 has 60'd 1.54 and his car is running 117mph. My 60 is pretty good though but I'm not making the same power, I'm running 91.x in the 1/8 and some of these guys have gone 93-94. Could be some race gas tunes. I can see going 92 personally but I don't see 94 happening.

Congrats on finally breaking that 12.00 barrier I took my car out after getting the new adjustable lower control arms on. I am happy to report, it goes straight now. Made 3 runs 10.11,10.13,10.15, then I let Chris make a lap. He had the car slightly crooked at the launch and took the long way down the track and ran a 10.09 I need to get some great DA before the season ends also, but my slicks are shot.

stagger staged ? takes longer for beams to pass both tires and timing to start providing slight et improvement if done right- maybe he meant to do it...

It would be interesting to throw the ol' gal on the dyno and see what the increase might be. I have changed a bunch since I made 368 RWHP 2 years ago...

-ported intake
-catless
-3.91 gear
-different air intake (New Era now)
-Tune revisions
