Yes the 4.10s no doubt wake it up a little but I almost feel like I should of went with a shorter gear maybe a 4.30?
And if any of you know how much time is power shifting helping shave off your ET? Is it worth to try and powershift?

Maybe you should look at a gear calc.

Powershifting is not worth much on these cars imo......and it tends to tear up ****. Good quick smooth shifts are fine. If the car spins or wiggles on the powershift you lost all the powershift gained.

You'll start running out of gear really quick with 4.10's. Never mind 4.30's.

Trying to get in the 1.6-1.7 60' range. Going to try new tires... A bias ply slick on stock suspension. If anyone knows what helped you get in that range. I still need to get the rest of the bolt ons. Raceweight is3480 lbs

That's not bad.

I ran the time in my sig with a homemade CAI and unbolted factory catback. Stock 3.42's and a slipping stock clutch.

The pic shows Weld Wheels but I ran an .8X on the stock wheels/radials. I put the wheels and tires on because I was planning on putting a Spec 3 in and getting more serious on the launches. Ended up getting rid of the car before the clutch. But I 60'd the same on the DR's as on the radials with the slipping clutch.

Right on that's impressive with stock rear gears. We went out to sacramentos Wednesday test night last night I got two runs in with another best et. DA was About -500 Ft. Im also trying to take the launching more seriously now. I try to maximize each setup before I throw parts at it ... But a new clutch and some suspension will be done next. Any info is appreciated on what has worked.

Thank you. TNT today about -100ft DA @ Sacramento Raceway new best et. Right lane car 128
We also got a 63 Nova 383 SBC 4 speed we are building. First time at the track we got 13.4 @ 107 in the nova.

Will have new Bias ply slicks next time out at the track which I think will help a lot in the 60'.

don't take me wrong your kicking butt and takin names but your attention to detail on the free mods , seat time and last but not least going back through the thread the swap from 3.42 to 4.10 along with the good da adds up to the nice trap increase.

Keep up the good work!

Yes exactly, seat time and attention to the details sums it up
