New Year's Eve we went out to the track. Recently installed 1 7/8 Pacesetter LT with their ORY dumped before rear axle along with MSD 8.5mm wires. Still need to get an LS6 intake and some new slicks

Whichever you choose match your maf and intake to your TB size.
98 actually has a better cam than the 01-02. Get the intake sorted and spin that thing to at least 6400!

Either are ok for what you're doing. Just make sure it's ported. 102 obviously has a little more max potential. Sometimes the 102 TB's have idle issues so that's why I went with a ported 92

Here is the best run so far from the other night. Have made a couple changes nothing engine related though.
Mods- Full Drag Wheel Setup
Weld convos on MTs 26-7.5-15
ET Drag 26x10-15 Stiff sidewall in rear ~13psi
LCA relocation brackets on 3rd hole
And changed out the old factory fluid oil out of the T56. I put in 3.9 qts of new dex3 valvoline in the t56 after realizing it was almost a quart low! Shifts are so much faster it guides itself in much more efficient. Still on the stock clutch. Probably holdin me back until we get a new clutch setup.
Sacramento Raceway DA was probly -100
Thank you to Linda Stiles for the photography.

The major goal here for me is to go 11s with SI. I do enjoy racing with a manual trans that always will stay. Then do a H/C/I setup??? possibly with nitrous??? or a bigger cubic inch iron LS block with lots and lots of spray but for now this gets it done just as fun

Yes it's a very nice town. I'm right next door, I actually use to live in Roseville. It will take you only 25-30 min to get to the track!
And yes I'm staging as shallow as I can get it to, which you want for a better ET correct???
The weight of the car is on the lower side it's a lower optioned hardtop M6 I never weighed it bone stock when I bought it, but I'd say I have removed a little over 100lbs. Raceweight with me and 1/4 tank gas is around 3350 at the tracks scale and I'm no more than 150lbs. Currently debating on a Frost Mail Order Tune for the time being and then check the injectors on a bench flow and clean every fuel injector, hopefully will pick up some more mph. Judging by the spark plugs I can tell the engine is not in it's happiest tune

Nice times! That's about what it should do in competent hands. It really comes down to the launch with mild bolt on's. You definitely have more than enough tire! My old LS1 car did 13.0 with a 2.2 60's with Lid / Cut out / Fast Toys Ram Air kit.
As you gain more confidence with launching hard (your 60' times suggest you have...) be ready for the rear end and clutch/hydraulics to start giving you problems (I'm sure you are well aware).

Little update. I have not been racing the car for quite some time now maybe over a year. Had some issues with the car and kinda just never fixed it just left it alone. I got back into motocross for a while. Looking to get back into drag racing soon though. If anyone was wondering about the pictures of timeslips and burnout pics I uploaded, those are from two separate nights at the track that's why the number on the car is different than the slip. I have an LS6 intake (not installed yet) and plan to tune the car finally once I get back into racing. Looking forward to it and I will post again when I get out to a track day.
