Default 2002 B4C 1st time out, 13.6 1/4

This is the first time I've ran my 02 B4C 6 speed. First pass way on 275/35-18 with lousy traction and ran 13.9 @ 107. 2nd and 3rd was on 325/45-17 and ran 13.69 and 13.62 at 107 each. Was hoping for a better time but I know I need more gear for those tires as my B4C has 3.23s.

What cha think? Some room for improvement I'm sure.

Should've mentioned the car is stock except for a K&N intake, BlackBear tune, and aftermarket exhaust. Car has a stock replacement clutch and 3.23s (B4C came with 3.23 instead of 3.42). Also the engine is all original and knocking on the door of 190K miles. 325 street slick is really too much tire for the car but it's what I have at the moment.

You get the 60" down to where its atleast respectable and it will probably run 12s.

Like HIO said your leaving a lot on the table with those 60 foots maybe even close to a full second.

Just curious with the 323's and 107 trap did you go through the traps in 3rd gear or did you need 4th ?

Why do you think your car has 3.23's? Mine had 3.42's

Don't be afraid of that 10 bolt.. Dump the clutch at 4500 and let her rip.. When it decides to break get a 12 bolt with 4.10's and a nice 28in drag radial..

It has a 12 in it for sure. You just need more seat time

I'm thinking a set of 3.90 Motive gears will help get the 60' times down and maybe get it in the 12s.
It was near maybe 5k rpm in 3rd gear at the end of the 1/4. That first race with the 275/35-18, I was running down a 2014 SS Camaro but just was too late.
I'm pretty sure B4C M6 cars came spec'd with 3.23s. Yours may have been swapped with a rear from a M6 Z28 or SS?

I was pretty consistent in shifting right at 6000 rpm. The car pulls hard all the way to the rev limiter.

Ouch on that 60. Probably a damn near 12 second car with a decent 60

if it's a factory b4c m6 car it came with 342s. not a bad time I guess with those wheels. get a better wheel/tire setup and keep chipping away.

Get those 60' times lowered and you are easily a 12 second car.

Like you have said, you have way to much tire for your power and gears.

a 245/50/16 DR would be perfect.

I assume you are bogging pretty bad off the line. You would have a shot at 12's with a 1.9 60'. You would probably have to launch it pretty hard because I'm sure 3.23's make 1st gear awful long.

1st and 2nd are very long. 3rd takes it to 120ish.
Found this embarrassing 1/4 run on my wife's phone recorded by my 10 year old daughter.

yeah that's way too much tire. what you need is like a 255 tire and just some more seat time. seat time is the best answer to improve your ETs with what you got
