Default What will it run? 00 SS LQ9 LS3 Heads

Trying to see what a realistic goal is for this new setup I put together.

Build details:

LQ9
823 Heads
Ls3 intake/Injectors
90MM TB
TSP Stage 4 cam 235/239 .627"/.624" 112LSA
Circle D 5C 4k RPM Stall
3.42 Gear
1 3/4" Hooker LT
Magnaflow C/B
SLP Air lid
Fast Toys Ram Air
Tuned by Me
Full Weight
Minimal suspension work
Hoosier 26" slick

I took the car for a shake down run this past weekend and it went 11.61@116.6 on a 1.59 60'. I was still working on the tune but the weather was too good to pass up. Car was super lean at WOT but I didn't pickup any KR(14:1 AFR at WOT).

I have the tune squared away now. 12.8:1 AFR at WOT and am looking to see what others think it will run now? Ultimately, I think the car will go 11.2x @ 118. I have skinnies I can throw on the car and sub frame connectors to put on as well.

Stock 823 heads? When you ran the 11.6 what exact tire and wheel setup were you running?

Hard to say how much the tune will effect it, but based on that trap speed I'm assuming the heads are basically stock. Did you adjust the timing?

Stock heads. Based on hptuners "delivered engine torque" the car picked up 60-70 lb ft of torque at 12.8 AFR WOT compared to 14.0 AFR. Also cylinder air mass bumped up from the low .8 g/s to low .9 g/s(most likely just because I calibrated the MAF for the new setup) which moved my spark reference a littler so I'm at a degree or 2 more advanced timing now(27.5-28* at WOT).

Picking up that much more torque, and 2 more degrees timing, I don't see why you wouldn't pick up another 2-3 mph

I dunno man, I'm guessing with the extra torque..he may see a bit of an ET improvement...but not so much with the trap. Torque is what gets the car going.....horsepower "carries" the car. Just thinking out loud.

If weather holds out on Saturday the car will be back at the track. Probably won't have the SFC's in yet or the skinnies on the car. Shooting for low 11.4x's in that trim.

Finally got to the track tonight. Car went 11.43 on a 1.52 60'. Still no SFC's or skinnies on the car. Car also went 11.44,.45,.46.48 all on high 1.5x 60' the rest of the night. I need to figure out the suspension because the car always does a one hop on the launch.

Mph was low 117 until I turned torque management off. Then the car consistently went 117.75.

Yea, for sure. I know even 11.2 isn't enough for your car but it'll be some fun.

Made it back today with skinnies on the car and much better air. Best pass of the day was 11.19@119.97mph on a 1.51 60'.
