Another trip to the track.

Tires are shot, got some new Hoosier drag radials mounted for next time. It was really humid. Water droplets and condensation all over cars roofs hoods etc.. really bad, and it rained all week prior.
First and only pass on the new Hoosier drag radials 275/50/15.
Drove to track lowered tire pressure to 18psi. launched off idle. It pulled the wheels a good 6"

Looks like you got most of it back, the axle and gear is worth .2, after probably 100 converter swaps in cars and trucks like these the fastest et converter for n/a ls motor is a yank ss4000. Iv never seen one beat it yet, it will actually 60 foot harder then a pt4400 will.

I 60 footed 1.58 with a little tire spin in my camaro, cam only with a 3.23 gear. Probably 1.52 or so with a dead hook. Car was cam only full weight, 233/236 108 cam. Im pretty sure a 1.45 would of been doable with a 4.10 gear and a short belt.

You are right the yank ss4000 is a 60ft beast. I brake stall mine to 3k rpm's on launch. Best 60ft has been 1.34 but usually in the mid 1.3x's

Well that sucks, I was told by Yank to get the PT4400 over the SS4000 for best all motor N/A times.

I would have got the SS4000 if that is true WTF. Especially since I am going to be spraying it also, so I will have to take it out send it in get it re-stalled and reinstall it.

The pt4400 is loose at the high rpm and don't drop much rpm in the shifts, but it still dont hit as hard off the line. Dave at yank told me the same thing, that the pt4400 would et better but it never has, not for me anyways. The ss4k flashs up to 4000-4200 real ease, car wont move, then you hit that rpm and it feels like you got rear ended by a semi lol. And it holds decent power up top, you can hit it with a 100 shot and it wont blow through to much. Thats just my experience, iv had 3 myself, and installed 3 other, and not one has let me down. We are at high da out here, 4k + most of the time so we need them loose at the line, good da will gain alot of torque which will make it easer to run good with a tigher converter.

The pt4400 has been proven time and time again. No way would I pull it out to drop it down to ss4000 specs.

True I wouldn't change it either. The pt4400 will work well I'm sure

Definitely not taking it out now.

I plan on running a 150 shot after I reach my goal of 10's.

I will switch to a 28" tire and send the converter in for a re-stall.

Should it just get changed to a SS4000 at that time?

I'm sure they will tell you to restall to a 4000 or maybe 3600.

ss3600 is a beast on spray. 4000 is a little too loose for anything over a 125-150 shot.

Well I can tell you this, I have a PT4000 and with my cam only setup I get a 11.1 @122 with a 1.56 60ft. With some suspension tweaking I might be able to get that 10sec slip like you.

BUT....anything over 100 shot of nitrous on this converter, it will blow through pretty bad. My next verter will be a SS4000 in the future

Here was the best pass.
