Exclamation Flying with bolt-ons at Jackson SC!!

Whew....where do I begin.....Loaded the car up Sat. afternoon and left out for Jackson. Impressed with the way the car was running Fri. night, figured we'd try it at a awesome track. Got down there around 7pm. Clouds rollin' in I jumped in line. There were nothing but 4 second cars down there running the 1/8th. Talk about a awesome time for traction??? I had the smallest tires down there. Starting line looked black as sut with all the rubber they were laying down. Lined up behind a rail with 33" slicks so I KNEW I was going to hook. Did a short burnout due to the new drags not letting me get them really hot (pushing the car forward w/ the line-lock). Tires at 10 psi. Rrrr's a 2800 and the car leaped hard and ran straight through the traps....

60'..........1.59
1/8th.......7.46 New best!!!!!!!!!!
1/4..........11.80 New best!!!!!!!!

Wow. Shocked. The car is haulin'. Storms are knockin' on the door. Checked my tire pressure and was heading back to the staging lanes when the bottom fell out. They cancelled the race and delayed it to Sunday. Didn't firure we'd make the 5 hour round trip again for the rain make-up, I was happy for the new best. So we finally decided at 2 am Sunday morning we were gonna head back down. Got back down there aound 10 am Sunday and was the only car practicing!! I could run 50 times if I wanted to with the Outlaw cars! Ran right behind a Outlaw car that layed down some serious rubber. Did a GOOD burnout and stalled her to 3000 rpm's.....

60'...........1.54 Oh yeah, tires in the air good
1/8th........7.39 WHAT??? THE MAGICAL #!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1/4...........11.71 NEW BEST!!!!

Well it did it and i was grinning from ear to ear. Couldn't wait to get back and show everybody the timeslip. Never dreamed it would come so soon. This car just keeps raising the bar for itself. AWESOME run. Thanks for all thats helped me. Waited 30-45mins to let the car cool down and jumped back in line before they started the big race. BIG burnout and held the rrr's at 3000. Then Wham!.......

60'........1.54 Tires up again!
1/8th.....7.37 What!!!!!!! AGAIN!!!!!! New best baby!!!!!!!
1/4.......11.68 We went 11.60's!!!!!!!!!!!

What a good feeling it is to feel those front tires come back down!! This car is flying now. Cannot believe it just went faster. Wow. Amazed. GM built a good one. I cannot even function I'm shaking so bad holding the timeslip. I'm all to pieces..........At 2pm got back in line for the last time. If I ran faster on this run I was not gonna run again. Don't want to ruin a good thing. Heated the tires up good.....rrr's at 2800 this time...

60'...........1.54 Wow!! This is too easy!
1/8th........7.38 3 7.3x's????? Man!!!!!
1/4...........11.68 Backed it up again!!!

Still cannot believe we did it. I use the term "we" because I got some AWESOME friends that have helped me out tremendously. And I couldn't have done it without them. Thanks guy's. Cannot say enough about the track at Jackson. BEST track around here hands down. Nobody else come close. Those guy's have it going on down there. Not sure where the car will go from here. May heads/cam it into the 10's or try to squeeze some more out of the stock internals. Still got a few goodies I want to try before I go inside the motor so we'll see. Still have the cool weather this fall to try to get some more out of her. Thanks again to all my bud's that have helped me!!!

NEW SIG BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best before was 1.54 60'
7.47 1/8th
11.84 1/4 at 114mph

Great job Michael. I haven't herd much from you in awhile. I wasn't sure you still had the car. This is Steve with the white SS, I meet you in Atlanta and seen you at shadyside run. Great job again man.

Steve- man, looong time no see Been building a house for the past year *sigh* and finally moved in and got settled. I been out every weekend for about the past 3 months. You still racing? I'm sure that SS still don't have a scratch on her Let me know when you go race now! Bout' sold the car a couple months ago....sooo glad I didn't!!

Thanks guy's. Raceweight is 3200 lbs. Putting the VFN pin-on hood on now. That should cut it close to 3150 w/ me in it along w/ some other not needed acessories to take out. Got some more goodies to throw at it so we'll see when we get some cooler weather. Had this "new" Yank converter for 2 years and have yet to run it in cool conditions!

That's moving pretty good for the DA.(around 1400-1500). You should be in the top 5 when it gets colder.

Not sure if the car will ever make it that far or not. Those guy's have put down some KILLER #'s. Hats off to them and all of the bolt-on guy's. Amazing what these cars are capable of. Still got to run the car with the new VFN hood, Meziere EWP, Micael's custom solid aluminum control arms, and removed another 20-30 lbs of weight. Awaiting cooler weather! Thanks guy's. I'm very open about my car/mods. If I can ever help anyone out, just let me know!
