NEW STOCK INTERNAL RECORD!!! 10's?!?!? Maybe!!!
Short version:
60: 1.452
1/8: 6.971@96.90
1/4: 11.029@117.24
Weather: Mid 70's, medium humidity (good for summer, not perfect).
Long version:
Tuned the car all week long with the new HP Tuners wide band interface. Dialed in the WOT air fuel ratio as well as my VE table. Car runs in a open loop speed density tune.
Since last time I've: re-tuned the car, added 90mm LSX setup, added 8pt cmoly cage, removed stereo and harness.
Trailered the car 3 hours to the track (Cordova)... Hooked VERY well. I will be going to US 41 in the future though due to distance. MFBA had a rental at cordova which is why I was there. Was a nice change of atmosphere.
Previous Best:
1.483 11.268@117.50
1) 1.499 7.045@95.39 11.148@115.98 New Record (kick hawkn *** )!
2) 1.482 7.016@96.21 11.095@116.50 New Record again (kick my own ***)!
3) 1.480 7.015@95.87 11.096@116.35 (backup run, sweet)
4) spun so I just coasted. why abuse the car
5) 1.452 6.971@96.60 11.029@117.24
6) 1.474 7.024@95.56 11.133@115.62 (spun)
The weather wasn't ideal. it seems like many people were down MPH (oppinions vary). I've trapped 120.5 before.. Meh, what does it matter.. people don't race MPH. I don't know why the MPH is only 117... I don't really care. It ET's like a *****.
Whats funny is.. and John and I both find this amusing.. is the car so easily has 10's in it NA stock internals. btw John witnessed it as well as many other MFBA members PLUS its on video.
The car was getting serious air. The launches were very intense. I'm definately not used to it. It sure is nerve wrecking. I am VERY happy to be home, safe, with a car that did not hit the guard rail.
This is on 3.42 gear on 28" tires. lol.. and thats the funny part. I may go down to US 41 and wack out a 10 before I put in the 4.10 rear, or I'll just do it then.. Either way I will crank out a 10 before I do my new setup.
Oh.. and ya, if you want to really push your A4.. I don't give a rats *** what those M6 drivers say, you still have to DRIVE the damn car to those #'s.. Launching technique is critical.

All todays runs were 11.1 or better. And just about ALL were caught on video.. I should have the video tomorrow for all of your enjoyment. Thanks Horist!!
Wheels up sure is fun!!!!!

As the videographer of the runs today, I will take full responsibility for making the record happen. It was fun running up there to get the runs on tape. I got yelled at by the tower for being too close to the guard rail.
Not sure what the DA was today, but I can see your car running high 10.8s this fall.

PS. My valve covers have never been off the car.

I was just asking.... up until now for some reason I thought just LS6 intakes were allowed... but I guesss any intake swap is allowed
Just another item to add to the mod list!

Keith, sounds like the 90mm set-up helped along with the other stuff you did. When you get a chance scale that bad boy on some 4-point digital scales and see what she really weighs.
The pic I saw looks like an anti-roll bar would be a good investment to straighten that launch out.
Again congrats on the new record !

TJ, It does seem the 90mm helped. It will be a better comparison at my home track though, US 41.
On the NA SI to-do list: bogarts with real front runners, Strange 12 bolt w/spool & 4.10's, 28x10" slicks for the new gear, anti-roll bar.
And that's all she wrote for NA SI. I'll give it a go when its all setup perfectly in great weather this fall and then throw the new setup together.
