Default First time at the track w/ my ls1 all stock

Well, it has a hooker catback... other than that its stock.

This was my first time EVER racin at a drag strip. My car has 102k miles and its A4. Just bought it about 1 1/2 monts ago and i'm very proud of it. I ran 9 times and came out with this as a best.

My best time was 13.5107 @ 103.76 mph
1/8 - 8.76 @ 82.98
60ft - 2.162

Unfourantly I lost that race to a supercharged grand prix...but it was fun anyways. I'm sure I could have hit lower 13's if traction wasnt such a problem ( 34 F) temp. I would post the time slip up but i have no scanner and my digital camera sucks at taking a ipc of it.

Good job, with a good TC you might hit 12's.

I'm planning on gettin a TC one of these days. I'm only 17 and has no money really. Next thing I hope to do is an ls6 intake then lt's and subframes.

I put in a Vig 3200 a couple of month ago and love it, the car feels stronger but I kept breaking loose at the track and only dropped 2 tenths to 13.5 but that was my fault I'm still learning how to launch . My LT's and ORY are sitting in a box in my daughter's room. Have to wait for X-mass, wifes orders.
F-bodies are not a cheap hobby and by the way, your car is pretty strong for being over 100k.

TC by far is going to be the best mod in my opinion. It will make the car feel a lot more powerful and probably drop a good half of a second off of your 1/4 mile time. That is what I would do first.

Well, would an upgraded tc mess up reliability in any way?

Not if you put a trans cooler on it. The excess heat after the TC install is what kills the tranny. I've had no problems with mine.
