E.T. evaluation
I would like some input based on your experiences. Its the off season and the gears in the brain start thinking. Anyway, when I bought my Z and ran it stock, it posted a 8.73@ 84.6. After installing the SSF 3500 and M/T drag radials it has dropped to a best of 8.29 and most of the time a 8.3x @ 84.5-85mph on 1.80 60's. Tried several different launch methods with a 2K stall and stomp working best. I know there are variables that you guys cannot be aware of, but based on the given info (mph, mods, 60's etc.) does this sound like a reasonable ET. It seems a little slow to me. I have also let several other people drive my car to rule out driver error and the ET's remain the same. Am I just expecting too much? If there is any additional info I can provide for a better analysis, just let me know. Nothun but time here
Thank you !!
Thank you !!

Our cars are very simular in the mods, mine has blackwing ss lid, K&N, egr mod, custom converter and nittos. Yesterday in good weather 50-60 degree and 30.25 bp my car went a 7.91 at 86.5 on a 1.75 60' but no one has really said whether this is good average or what, my car is full weight with stock 17' wheels. My best pre converter time was 8.45 at 85 on a 1.98 60' in simular weather.

My gears are the stock 3.23,s. One thing you have to remember though is these good passes were in very good weather in the DFW area of Texas which is not far from sea level. Where are you running at and what is the elevation.

you might want to look into getting a handheld tuner or getting your car tuned. the tune will pick you up some hp, but will firm up the shifts and you can change the shift points. a freind of mine with a 01 ss has gone 7.81 @ 86 with the same things you got and a superchips tuner.

Edit: I might wait before I bolt my cam and stuff on a log a pass or two with tuners to see if I'm getting some KR or TM action.
