It's just your tires. Get some traction and you will be much happier (Mickey Thompson ET Drag Radials ). A 2800-3200 stall with 3.73 gears will really wake it up.
I was there Saturday, not many fast cars at all... Unfortunately I broke my leg the day before so I couldn't race.

Deffinately get yourself some better tires. Dropping your 60' down to 1.9x will yield some very good results. That alone will get you down into the low 13's. Look on the bright side, at least you didn't need a helmet the first run?
If you want to go out to California Speedway on a day when the track is prepped well, go during a PSCA or Summit race. The track will be prepped for 7 and 8 second cars.
-Rant-
The street legal days/nights at California Speedway blow. That is why I didn't end up going out on Saturday. Way too many front wheel drive cars out there that f*ck the track all up. Not to mention the fact that you only get 4 runs in 8+ hours. They always say "We're only letting the first 400 cars in" and in reality they let in close to 600. As far as I'm concerned 300 would be more than enough. It would also help if they had street legal days/night more than once every 2 months. Last time I got there about a half hour after they opened the gates and I was in the tech line for an hour and a half. By the time I was done with tech, they had already called my group to race.
-End Rant-
If you want to see what your car can really do, head out to Irwindale. The track is well prepped and you can get in as many as a dozen runs in 5 hours.

dude with ur mods and any drag radial u will run b/t 12.80 and 13.30 prolly... no question there. and runs like that first one wont happen again.. anywys i know u were spining.. but u must have spun the whole 1/8th mile, would not have hurt to pedal it a lil bit there lol. do a bit mroe reading around this site.. look into stall converters.. a 3000-3500 would be nice addition and could knockff another .4-.5 tenths, but only if u have tires!!!! hell even if u get nittos which are considered the worst drag radial u will see a .4 tenth reduction.. no reason with a drag radial u cant do a 2.0 60ft time..

With similar mods, I went 12.4@109. Only difference being 4.11's and a loudmouth exhaust. That was with a crappy California Speedway 1.8x 60' time on ET Streets. Your car deffinately has a 12 second run in it with some tires and a good launch.
