The timeslip database isn't quite up to date - even Harlan's time is off (he went 8.2 IIRC since). Fastest I've heard of was a 7.9x by the Duke car everyone knows about. So far the only one in the 7s. Red, might be the one you were talking about. Unless there's an unknown 7 second car out there, or you saw someone with an LS1 body running an SBC or BBC.
