Default 00 TA Convertible Bone Stock Times

Got to the track tonight, still had the temp tag in the window. 30K on the car, brand new paper air filter, stock GS-C tires(stock airpressure).

Car is optioned out minus the WS6 Package.

Best pass was 13.41 @105.96 with a 2.116 60'

How does this stack up to the normal times us vert guys see stock?

How much could it drop that with a cutout and lid?

For a bone stock 'vert, that's DAMN good Topless! With the lid and cutout, you should see a 13.3 @ around 107 if you keep the same 2.1 60' (which is basically the exact same timeslip as mine, and all I have are a lid and catback as far as performance mods are concerned). And hey, while you're at it, post up some pics of that 'vert! They seem to be rare these days, and they've grown on me more and more.

I felt like it had a 13.3 in it last night, I just couldn't get the launch just right. My LT1 had 2.0 60's in it, if I can get this there than I should be able to cut a 13.3 with the stock set-up. But lid and catback arent far away.

Hey topless this is Tom(guy with the blue goat). As I said last night those are damn good times for a stock vert. A lid and a cut out will net you anywhere from 2 to 3 tenths and a few MPH. Go for it. When my WS6 had just a lid it was running 13.5 @ 106.5 with a 2.2x () 60 and that was when I was in FL in the summer so that gives you an idea of where youll be. With the right 60' you'll be in the 12s for sure. Shoot me a PM the next time you are going down to atco and maybe we could meet up.

Unfotunately I still didnt get any traction in first. I think on that run I went 13.0 or 12.9 I cant remember but my 60 was horrible. I think a different set of drag radials and some QA1s are in order for the car. The SS3600 made it a totally different animal. I used to be able to stall around 2000 and hit it right out of the hole. That was with the 2800. I was cutting 1.75s and 1.80s with that converter now I cant get traction in first no matter how I launch (even with my John Force burnouts ) The good news is I matched my previous best time (12.7 @ 109.x) on my 3rd run of the day with no traction in first and a 2.11 60' (on my previous best run I had a 1.81 60') so I know when I get this thing to keep the power on the ground I should have a mid to low 12 second pass.

I was looking for you after our last run but couldnt find you so we left and grabbed a bite to eat. Let me know when you're going down again.

Take it easy,

Tom

You may have been able to get that power to the ground if the good ole rotary boys werent blowing loads all over the track all night.

12.2's are right there for you with traction, good luck man.

I am probably going to be going again early in May, I should have the lid and cutout on by then. I will definitely drop you a line when I pick a day. If your going to be going before that, let me know, a few more stock passes wouldnt kill me.
