Default Video of 11.29 run @ 124 MPH....

Guys…

I get a lot of requests for sound clips of my car at idle, etc.….I finally just got a new digital camcorder and I built an “in car” camera mount for it. This video is actually from Famoso Dragstrip (Bakersfield) a couple of weeks ago. You can here how mild mannered the car is as I am approaching the tree. This run was at a D/A of 1100 feet, and I had 18 lbs. of tire pressure in my ET Streets (didn’t want to break). The car is in total “street trim”….big 285 Nitto’s on the front and a raceweight of 3400 lbs. I also took it easy with a 4500 RPM launch and no power shifting. I think there is an easy 10 second time slip in this car with a more aggressive driving style and a better Density Altitude. The car sixty footed 1.74 on this run. I’m heading back to Bakersfield next week and if the air is decent I might try to put it into the tens or on top of a flatbed….whichever comes first….LOL

I will also be posting a video of the car starting up and settling into an idle when I get some time….In the mean time you can check this vid out:

http://fuzzydiceracing.com/k/Bako_Run_4-15.mpg

By the way, after I left the event, I filled up before I hit the freeway and clocked 30 MPG with 3.90 gears on the 100 mile cruise home averaging 75 MPH or so....It doesn't get much better than that in a true "dual purpose" vehicle with a stock GM 346 shortblock.

Regards,
Tony

RED LIGHT!!!! That run doesn't count, try again.

Car sounds great man. It's amazing to see a car run that quick and still be capable of 30mpg. It's a great time to be a hot rodder.

Love the video, so crisp and clear and really showed what most people want to see in an "in car" view. Great Job!!

3.90's in the rear....The DIC registered 31.5. I've checked it previously on a few occasions (versus actual on odometer when I fill up) and it's usually 1-2 MPG optimistic. Keep in mind this was a pure highway run, but none the less still very impressive considering the power output of the AFR 205 package.

I wish I got 30 MPG.My Z06 with 205 heads, 224/228 cam, Long Tubes,4.10s, and M6 trans only gets 25-26 on the freeway. Nothing to complain about, but a far cry from 30.

Might have had a little better run if you were more in the groove at th etrack...looks like you were a little to the left of it there in that run....stay in the groove...get a litle better track times
