Default Bolt-on LT1 M6 Record Beat after 2yrs.

Bolt-on LT1 M6 Record
Houston Raceway park 5.6.05

DA 600-800ft

1.76 --60'

7.905--1/8th
88.51--mph

12.295--1/4
112.01--mph

Video
http://www.tkiu.com/jared/Htown/Hous...oad%20Trip.wmv

Russ E. Held the old record for around 2yrs. his time was
12.34 at 109.7
1.76 60'

Special thanks to HPE for the dyno session.

Track notes-- fuel presure regulator went out on the dyno. Air/fuel was all over the place, when I got to the track the car wouldn't even start to get off the trailer!! Talked about pissed, drive 10 hrs get to the track and the car wont even start.I took off the vacume line and fuel came pouring out. On top of the car not running her best, i ran out of gear. Crossing the traps around 7,000rpm!!! On an earlier run of 12.35 i hit 5th gear , but no help in times. I plan on putting different gears and some better tires. The best i could get was a 1.76 60' , the car has pulled a 1.70.. The car didn't run as fast as I talked, but she should pull some better numbers later this summer.

Good luck to all that go for either M6,A4 bolt-on record, they have been held for 2yrs.

I will get a vid posted this week, .Here are some pics launching
WHEELS UP PICS
(HRP doesn't show times on test n tune nights)

You should put LT1 record beat in the title.

LS1 is 11.54@118

7000 rpms in 4th at 112mph? with 4:10 gears? must have some short *** tires on there. Nice runs though

awesome man...congrats! Very impressive. Now you just gotta get her all fine tuned and running perfectly and get closer to the A4 record...I have my clutch sitting in my living room...Just need to get it installed. I'd like to be running close to what you are running but I'm mainly going for the stock internal record for now.

The rear tires are 245 nitto's, showing cord now. The car fell off so hard at 6500rpm, i should have hit fifth for that run, but it doesn't seem right going to that gear.

Weight is around 3400lbs

With some 3.73 gears, rear pro stars and better tires, and a new fuel pressure regulator , she should run a little better. I know it has the power if i can just get the setup dialed in.

Thanks for all the compliments
Brady

congrats on the run. I don't get one thing though. If your rear tires are stock diameter(25.6) my calculations say 7000 is good for 130. I dont get how your crossing at 7000 at only 112.

Anyway..good times man..congrats on the record.

Well the stock cam and heads don't exactly make power past 5800rpm. I was crossing at 6100-6200rpm in A-town but Houston it was past 6500-6600rpm. The car slowed down on me right before i went threw the traps, maybe if the gearing was right i might have traped one or two more mph.

Video of the run is on the first thread

Just looked at the pix, yeah, you got more weight to get off the car, good job!! Those salad shooters and nittos are heavy, get those good rims/tires on it!!

Congrats for outrunning me! Its about time somebody did it. For a while I just figured everyone had given up on LT1's.

Now for you guy's bad news, lol.

I'm gonna put a stock motor back in my car (I decided to do this a while back, not just b/c I've been outrun!) and see if I can go 11's. My car's a lot lighter, has more gear and actually has some supsension stuff now so I really dont see why I cant.

Once again, congrats!

Has the car been scaled? Or is this a guess?
