First time at track with the SS

Default First time at track with the SS

My mods are whisper Lid, msd 8.5mm cables, hooker exhaust with a Ypipe, i was on bridgestone potenzas Z rates tires with probably around %70 thread left on them. I just got this car last month and i cant launch worth crap. RWD is alot different than any other. My best time was

0-60/ft 2.25
1/4 13.65 @ 104.6mph

the car is a m6 with stock gears

not to bad, keep praticing that launching, or just a radial :-D drop those 60's to under 2.0 where they belong.

i lost my receipt but on that 13.6 run i think my 60ft was 2.3x .. thats pretty bad considering guys cutting like 2.0/2.1s.

the car should have easy 13.2's in it when you get the 60 foots down. Consistency is the key, and that comes from practice, which is fun b/c you get to race more! Good luck getting her to go even faster!

What year is the Z? The trap speed looks low for your mods. My 2001 when new with just a lid trapped at 106 and the m6's 109ish. Untuned?

You also have a LS6 upper intake. some reason i think he has a 99.

I'm guessin that the LS6 intake really opens up the top end of these cars. My first time ever(only time so far) I ran a 13.1@110.8 with a 2.18 60'. And I have LTs, ORY, Intake, minor tuning, BMR K, etc. So i'd say if he has a 2000 and under hes right on par. The LS6 intake would liven his as well as mine up.

i got a 99 SS .. well im in houston so altitude is not really a factor down here. But it was humid as hell that day.

not to bad at least you didn't reck or hurt anything, today i went to the track and almost got t-boned by a 03 cobra that didn' know how to shift
