Default stock Z06 11 sec come in pls

sorry for the hassle, i called this guy (modded evo) out on the import forum i moderate on beating a C5 z06 from a roll ( nevermind that part of the arguement pls) but this led to him telling me that no stock z06 goes 11's.

i know some have seen mid-high 11.5-11.8 on et streets
anyone have some high 11's on F1's or equivelent radials so i can shut him up--i know im right i just need osme evidence so i dont look like an e-racer making shiot up as i go

thx in advance

DJ

(pls dont just link me the et timeslip database i searched that, stock z06 stock radials isnt a class so i cannot identifly which ones are which-

Look for a guy that goes by J-Rod in the data base... I believe he's run 11.6 or 11.7 on stock tires, etc.

Also... GMHT ran an 11.97 @ 118+ w/ a stock 04'.

J-Rod went 11.79 on the stock tires.

I think he went 11.6x with slicks.

It is possible that it was an earlier model ZO6 with 385hp/385tq.

When Motor Week compared the Viper, Cobra R, and the 01 ZO6, the vette ran a 13 flat at 116.

Well the 116mph trap speed tells you he couldn't launch/drive so it still proves the capability of the mighty Z06.

I went 11.933 @ 114 for my previous best 11 second pass. The car is a 2002.

Well he say's that the car turned a 13 and 116. Now from my experiance that suggests that spinning was in the equation, like you said you have 11.9 114. Another example, myself turning a 12.6 and 118mph with spinning about 1/3 of track. Look at Ranger's runs in that mph all 11.50, with great launch. So, I guess my point was that don't blame it on the car but rather the driver with mph's that suggest much more potential (ET).

Sorry, I overlooked that post. I saw it once you pointed it out.

MPH is an indicator of HP. ET is a measure of driver. Magazine tests are hamstrung with issues like no tire pressure adjustment, no power shifting, low rpm launches, etc.... Thats why magazine tests (except GMHTP) all tend to suck.

GMHTP and MM&FF are the only magazines that seem to be able to put down real numbers. These guys that run the cars in the other magazines seem like a bunch of people that don't really have much experience other than on the job. They are probably afraid to abuse the cars and they figure most of the people owning the cars won't abuse them either. I could be wrong though, but I bet GMHTP and MM&FF and pounding the **** out of the cars - and that's how we all do it too

can you link the thread of him saying this...if his mods are in place (lots and lots of em) i could see it happening but only from a dig. never from a roll to a less weight higher hp car.
