Default Drag launch tips. . . `

i have a somewhat modded 95z (bolt ons etc.), i have a 3500 stall and street tires, whats the best way to launch in the meantime before the dr's get here, then the best way with the dr's. thanks.

Stall the car up to as high as she will go without pushing through the brakes. When you see the 3rd yellow light drop the hammer.

On street tires just be carefull with the throttle, with properly heated drag radials you should be able to do as coach said.

street tires you'll want to gradually mash the accelerator, not all at once. You want to get the car moving and the weight shifting back to the rear tires. With a proper set-up suspension, you can hook even with street tires. I've gone 1.71 on the 60 foot on my non-drag 275/60/15 radials, but it's a fine line getting there I have a 3400 stall 10" convertor and I stall to about 1500 rpm on launch.
