SI new best 11.029
After getting our new best of 11.048 back in March with the new FAST intake and NW’s/TB the car has been parked.
We’ve been waiting for our local 1/4 mile track Darlington Dragway to reopen after being closed for sometime. Well it finally reopened and we decided to take project SS out and to see how it would run this time of the year. We didn’t expect much as our slicks are almost worn out and the temp earlier in the day was in the mid 80’s. Later that night the weather was pretty good and temp in the 60’s.
We made 5 passes last night. No new mods have been made since our previous new best. For the night our only changes after our first couple passes were we adjusted the shift points and some timing. While trying to be conservative on our slicks for most of the night we decide for our last pass to really heat up the slicks. Our last pass shaved some off our previous best and resulted with.
60ft =1.495
1/8 = 6.976 @ 96.92
1/4 = 11.029@ 120.70 DA +1486

Would have been nice to have broke into the 10's. Oh well we're satisfied with our results.

Nice times indeed. If is not secret--what are your shifts and timming you lose in your car for your setup. Also, what king air intake system do you have--is it custom? You can email me if you prefer. Thanks

Nothing special about the air intake system. Just an air lid, no air filter and the entire base cut out where the air filter was. I try to keep the IAT temps as low as possible before each pass. Shift points are around 6200

Holy crap! You are getting 1.4 60' and not breaking the stock 10 bolt? I think that is just as impressive as your times
Good runs! You're a better man then me because I would be pissed to have been that close to 10's but not get there. Great job and hopefully 10's are waiting for you the next time you go.

So far we have been lucky with the stock 10 bolts. We've only had to replace one rearend after breaking 3 of the teeth off the ring gear. We have a few thing to do to the SS and hopefully get into the 10's this fall.
