Default Finally got to the track

I finally had the opportunity to get my trans am to the track. Now keep in mind I am in Albuquerque, NM at 5300 ft above sea level, and the first time I have ever raced at a drag strip. The fastest I ran was a 14.45 @ 96mph. I don't think its too bad for the altitude. Faster would be nice, but that's to come!!

Was this last night? I was there also. It was my first time ever racing a car at the track. I have a blue 01 SS M6. I have an MTI lid and the TSP rumbler cat back. I ran a 14.40 last night. I was pretty disgusted with the time. Sitting at the light, getting ready to go was a rush huh?

Hit me up next time you are going out there. Maybe we can meet up or something.

Congrats on the run. I remember my first ever run down a track. 13.5 @ 103 but that was in Illinois at a measly 700 feet above sea level. I was so scared and excited that it felt like my heart was going to explode (in my stomach since I swollowed it at the launch).

Time to get more mods, more practice and perhaps a company transfer to a NJ office

J/K

Have fun with the car and congrats on your run.

It is definately a rush your first time lining up. I think I saw you there R1ls1. We should definately meet up sometime out there. My dad has a 2005 Stage 1 roush mustang so we had to settle the trans am-mustang dispute. Needless to say we raced 3 times and I beat him all 3 times. I think the fastest he ran was in the 14.60's. Lots of fun though!!!

They are if you correct it for altitude. See how well you run a mile on foot breathing through a straw.

Well, now I don't feel so bad. I figured even being a mile up I should have ran a high 13. I will be out there friday night for the sport bike shootout. Hopefully I can beat my personal record of a 10.81 on the bike.

Like I said, bikemanx2 hit me up on here before you head out there.
