Shakedown pass then rain out...
Well I finally made it to the track for the first time since October and with the new set-up. Only made two passes and both were garbage before they closed due to rain. Track prep was non-existant but air was pretty good. I would say about 1000DA. I missed 3rd on my second pass so my first was the cleanest yet not great at all. I short shifted all gears at 6800. I was spinning 1st so bad that I hit second way too early and spun 2nd bad too and had a slow 1/8th. But the new power is showing up top as I hit a 12.12 at 118.49 with a 2.001 60'. I know the car holds power past 7k but wanted to take it easy the first pass. The car has cut 1.65 60' before on stock clutch through 4.10s. I now have a 9" with 4.56s and Spec 3 so hitting 1.5Xs should be possible. This pass was also on a 26" tire. Next time out (as the track gave us rain checks) I will run a 28" tire, shift at 7k and hopefully the prep will be good for some 1.6s or even 1.5s and I should be deep 11s at over 120 this year. I really wanted an 11 that day but I am still learning the set-up. Oh and this was regular shifting. No power or speed shifting.

Nice. My cars actually in the shop right now getting the t-rex installed, arp rod bolts, and prc stage 1 cnc'd ls6 heads. My car's an auto with a 4400 convertor, I'm hoping to trap 120 and run some deep 11s on good tires. Ive got 3.73s but I may step up to 4.10s to maybe get up to 121-122 traps.
