Congrats on the win. I was down there w/ a friend last year (silver Z28) and you guys were a pretty cool bunch. Like I just told him on the phone, if anyone had to win, I'm glad it was you guys.

There is always a bit of luck involved in these things. The rules were changed between last year and this year and the front shock mount on Donahue Hogan's Nova, which was legal last year, is not legal this year even though other prefabbed front ends had similar setups. It also was apparent that none of the cars could have beaten the Nova or that Turbocharged Viper who missed the checkpoint. Not dissin' anyone, i'm glad a Chevy won. I'd still like to see the missing rounds to see "who put who" out. A couple of the guys were better at the tree than the rest. The Viper will win next year if he comes back as he ran a 8 teen in an exibition run and no telling what he can turn it up to.

WTG on your successes Steve and Ashley. It's a hell of an accomplishment, especially after all the hard work you guys have put into your rides. You don't even want to talk about the distance you guys had to travel. I'm sure everone who raced somehow hoped they could win at least one prize. Unfortunately, someone has to lose.
