Default SAR closed down? WTF?

Just got back from San Antonio. On Saturday morning I took a ride out to Alamo Dragway. All structures were gone and there was a large sign advertising the new Speedway Industrial Park project. Sunday there was an article in the Express News about the history of the track and about the it's closing. It went on to say that the land became valuable because of the nearby Toyota plant and that San Antonio Speedway was also sold. It will close too and become part of the industrial project. Ten years ago there were three active race tracks on this corner, dirt and asphalt circle track and asphalt drags. Now nothing. Went to River City Friday night. They had a good car count and plenty of mosquitoes. I took pictures of Alamo I'll try to post this week.
This true?

I was planning on taking a trip out there and come down from the alps to actually run at sea level only to read this today

Alamo is the one he's talking about.
