Default 402+6 speed+stock 10 bolt=???

well went to the track today for a rental, nice cool day, track was prepped pretty good, really strong head wind, but it wasnt to bad by the end of the night.

quality isnt very good, cause i have a shitty camera.

but mid 1.8 60ft and a 11.20@126mph was my best run, i was happy it went this quick, so close to a high 11.1, but my car is a fully loaded 6 speed car, leather, t-tops, monsoon stereo, yada yada.

my shifts are kind of weak because trans doesnt want to shift very smooth, so they are ***** shifts, but im very happy with the outcome

im still on the stock 10 bolt, stock gear, bald *** nittos, bone stock suspension, hell the same brake pads that came on the car back in 99.

motor is a 402LS2 built for spray, cam is ground for spray, stg 3 livernois L92 heads, stock L76 intake, only 1 3/4 primary headers, stock 78mm MAF, stock crank pulley, and waterpump.

i think on a similar day, with 1 7/8 headers, new intake manifold, and a underdrive pulley and EWP it might break close to the 10s with how it sits.

buy a rear and launch the damn thing, you could hit a 10 with a 1.60 60' and then its 9s on spray all day. Car is very sleeperish though I love it. Hopefully I can catch you at a few track days next spring.

What clutch are you running? It sounds like you are on it pretty good but I guess you would have to be with stock gears. I wonder if part of your shifting problem has to do with heating up the hydrolics during the burnout and launch.

Damn Justin, sounds like you are slipping the hell out of that poor clutch on the launch. Twin Disk that Bitch, but some suspension parts on it, do a shorter burn out (they're just nittos) and crack some 10.70's out of that bitch, replace broken 7.5 w/ good stuff and run some 10.50's

ya, if the tires break loose they start hopping, so thats why i slip it so much, and i do the john force burnout because when i did shorted burnouts they seem like they didnt want to hook as much when i got into the top of first, i do my burnouts in second, wait to feel the tires start hooking and they start to drag the rpms down, then i let it roll out.

and the car is hard to get into gear on the street too, its been like that ever since i got the trans built up.

clutch is a clutchmaster stage 3, never gives out or feels mushy during my runs, but after my last run the clutch isnt grabbing until the pedal is at the very top, and its not fully engaging so it slips real bad when i give it some gas, and i have to really push the clutch for the neutral safety switch to start the car, i dont think its the clutch cause this happened instantly, so im not sure if it has to do with the hydraulics or what, but im glad it happened 9 passes later

I think he posted the specs. Don't quote me but I remember the specs to be somewhere in the 240/244 .612/.615 range. Not 100% sure.

haha, thats my buddies dakota, its tubbed out with a 31x14inch tire. just threw a motor in it to have fun with this year, it has a stock 360 with a small cam, and it has a little convertor, just a 2800 stall, it went 12.7s that day.

this is good info. do you spend the money on the 12bolt or put towards a 408? At least the 10bolt survived
