Default 10.73 @ 130 Full Weight Ported Eaton Cobra with 75 shot....

I know it's a ford, but I just thought I would share with fellow car enthusiast. Well after a long day of the "House of Hook" hooking too well and bogging ALL day long I finally got a clean run in. I tried launching higher and higher, then added pressure to the tires not wanting to drop the hammer too high. The car is full weight minus prostars, stock suspension, upper only ported eaton, wet 75 shot......

My best pass of the day on motor.....

you only pick up 2 mph on a 75 shot? Awesome times, but I would have thought the mph would have been more.

yes..awesome times, but you should pick up more then 2 mph on a 75 shot.

when I had my unported 2.76 car I seen over 100 HP on the dyno & 6 mph on a 75 shot..these things really like the N20 and it gains power by both cooling the intake charge and the n20 itself

good times either way

Check out my 60' times I came out the hole a lot harder on the juice pass. My blower pass I spun out the hole pretty good, so the mph was higher. On the juice pass I actually bogged quite a bit, the car just had enough tq on the spray to muscle off a good short time. Had I got some tire spin coming out the hole the car would have gone 10.5-10.6 with a much higher trap. Just as an example I've trapped 107 before in the 1/8th on the 40 shot I had in the car coming out the hole spinning...

Pretty impressive times. What kind of tire were you on? Did you hit nitrous out of the hole?

We have a 03 cobra we race the car has gone the a best of 10.99 @ around 123mph with stock irs unported eaton pretty much full weight minus spare tire jack pro stars and tubular k. He added 125 shot and made around 600rw or something car made around 460 on blower. The car then went and ran 10.59 @ 125 so it only picked up 2 mph the stock blower seems to not work well with nitrous as the power was falling off above 5k. This year he has gone 11.00's with the car blower only and ran 10.83 on nitrous. The blower seems like a restriction on the spray and therefore doesnt mph well as it just seems to make torque. He decided to just run the car on blower now as it runs good for a unported eaton car.

These cars respond incrediblty well to nitrous actually. I picked up 3/10 on a 40 shot, and 4/10 bogging the launch on a 75 shot. Like I said the mph is low because I bogged out the hole, check out some of my other time slips I've trapped higher on the 40 shot before. As far as your buddy, he obviously drives the hell out of the car but the stock unported blower levels off on power after 5k with or without nitrous. He'd see a good bit up top by porting it.

He did homeport the blower this year and didnt pick up anything with the same thing pretty much happened. He then swapped with his buddy for a stock unported blower again. He did gain about 20rw with his homeport. Obviously you have a better port tb and plenum but it seems as he just picked up torque and torqued his way through the 1/4. Do you plan on upping the shot? I wonder if maybe a 75 shot will work better then a 125 with a stock blower do to restriction.

blower + nitrous = 10's?

sorry, but even at full weight i can't give much credit to needing two power adders to run 10.7's.
