Default new track times

Got a new personal best today. Tried out the slicks/skinnies at Sac raceway for the test n' tune today. All of my runs hooked up, with no wheel spin, but since it was my first time on anything but street tires....I've got some room for improvement.

1st run
12.94 @ 100.96 with 1.84 60 ft.

2nd run
12.85 @ 100.89 with 1.82 60 ft.

3rd run
12.91 @ 100.66 with 1.85 60 ft.

4th run
13.05 @ 102.16 with 1.89 60 ft.

Pic of the timeslip

This was the last set of runs for my LS1. Next week, the motor comes out. My car is ready for the heart transplant lol.

So do I get the 12 second club under my screen name now?

That mph is low for a bone stock motor. Sac you should run 107-108 pretty easy.

Doubt it......a 2" taller than stock tire is not gonna kill 7-8 mph. Something is up with your car.

Yeah, something is up, thats a very weak MPH for the ET, a taller tire would only help MPH, not hurt it, if that head wind was that strong to make you loose that much mph, that cars alot faster then what you ran, with an ET & mph like what you posted, you would've needed some 1.5 60ft. times, not 1.8s.

talked to some track guys, and it was the tires. I just don't have the horsepower (N/A) to turn those tires at the top end. Not a hint of slip from the trans. Gotta love that Performabuilt!

So how do I get my "12 second club" under my name??

I'm telling you it's not the tires. I've run at Sac, it's a fast track.

you're DYING after the 1/8 mile. . .by that time, the tires aren't near the influence. . .
