hey yall ...i just finished a new round of mods and went to the track...needless to say im a bit dissapointed in myself but the car ran beautifully..

mod list:
MAC headers
ORY
Rumbler catback
Wisper lid
Holley filter
Shortstick on stock hurst
hotcam 218 228 on 112
LS6 springs
Thunder racing 7.4 pushrods


before the cam swap i went 13.1 at 104 with a best of 1.9 60ft
tonight i went 13.0 at 113 with a best of 2.3 60ft

no matter how i launched the car i was baking the tires....i tried all different RPMS with all different clutch applications and it seems when i get moving and 100 percent throttle my tires went up in smoke...

the car made 380RWHP so i know its not that its making to much power lol...the track was also horribly prepared...

anyone got any ideas on how to drop the 60ft and bring me deap into the 12s?

9 MPH with a baby cam swap is pretty impressive to me.

i picked up that much by adding full exhaust and an ls6 intake haha.

almost a carbon copy to my car except i have an auto and a 3800 stall. on m/t i went 12.4@111 and with a 1.85 60', so it has alot of et left in it!

lol....then you either couldn't drive before, or, the next time you went after the mods, it was like 40°, whereas before the mods it was 90°!

it was an automatic car that trapped 101 when it was BONE STOCK. it went 110 after the exhaust. nothing special, no hidden tricks. 00 z28.

Look pretty much like my car. I have the FAST intake, 12 bolt, 4.11 gears, and Drag Radials with flowmaster exhaust. I ran a best of 12.99 at 112mph. My best launch was about 2k and drop the clutch. This weekend Im going and going to get more aggressive. Im thinking heat up the DRs good and drop the clutch from 3k. Will let you all know how I do.

Hey Just letting you know how I did. I ran a best of 12.65 at 110 with a 1.86 60ft. I would suggest some Drag Radials and a rear end, at the very least some DRs. I did about 2500-2800rpm launch and just drop the clutch. This was with BFG DRs and a 12 bolt with 4.11 gears.
