Default Finally made it to the track with new cam

60......2.12
330....5.703
1/8....8.553
mph...86.31
1000..10.953
1/4....12.93
mph...115.12

mods are in sig. I dont take the car to the track often at all. HAvent raced it in over 2 years, so Im sure there is much room for improvement. I feel very comfortable once I get outta first gear, its just launching that I need the most work on.

anyhow, it was a fun evening

Ive thought about it, but with a stock clutch and stock rear, Im not switching from street tires anytime soon. I improved my previous time by more than 7 mph. Im pleased with that

I think if I launched it a little higher than I did, I could pull a better 1/8. I was only launching at 2500 or so. I could bump that up to 4000 and feel safe, but I ran out of time last night. I love this cam though, I pass through the traps right around 6500 rpms in 3rd gear

Congrats on getting it out there! From there on out its about putting power down. You out much with it on weekend? Weve had a few people out lately when its been nice out.

Car has enough power to go 120 mph and 11.40s my bucket is maybe 200 lbs lighter and only made 5 hp/13 lbs tq more how I raced it last

You definately need some traction homie. I was popping 11.7's last weekend trapping 116.

I havent been taking it out much lately, other than down OC. Just too much to do around the house....

Im confident I can get a 12.5 or so with my current setup. Only suspension mod is LCA's, but Im really happy with the runs I made considering I havent made a pass in over 2 years

Thats some good numbers for a mustang dyno...I know you're happy but keep messing with it at the track and you're liable to hit low 12's high 11's.

Thanks. Im pleased with the numbers too considering its a cam only car. Id have to beef up my suspension before I can even think of making an 11 sec pass, but low 12's is and will be my goal for this car

Some drag radials and practice will get you low 12's or high 11. The 10-bolt is the problem though, like you stated above.

You definitely have the power to run mid/low 11s in the right conditions. Not that easy with a 6 speed though it is fun trying. Good luck with the stock rear.

The dyno numbers in my sig were on a dynojet. I would probably only make around 330 on a mustang.
