Default First time slip

Well first time down the track today and it felt real good. But traction on the car sucked. Raced at MIR

R/T ...1.032
60' ....1.946
330...5.501
1/8 ...8.405
MPH .86.33
1000..10.890
1/4 ...12.956
MPH...109.91

MODS
224R cam Patroit Stage II heads, LS6 intake, ported TB, all free bolts on's ram air intake, undrive pullys, jet jot LT, SLP loudmouth, Mccloud clutch, denny's nitrous ready driveshaft, moser 12 bolt 3:73 posi unit, BMR torque arm/w safety loop, panhard and lower control arms. FBC tune by Brett. NOS dry kit 100 shot didn't use though. Forgetting some mods im sure.

I was only leaving at 2000rpm because of the traction issues and then I was bouncing off the track.

Where should I leave at?

What times should I be turning if I knew how to drive??? Maybe if I wasn't asleep at the wheel and had a better 60 foot that might help and those T/A drag radiels only spin, no linelock and its hard to heat up the tires with the T56.

Well i'm happy and with a little more practice maybe i'll improve a little.

Any help with the times and what I could do to get it right would be great.

Congrats on the numbers there. I understand the part of being hard heating up T/A drag radials with a T56.

i think that car would easily trap 115 with the given mods. how much air are you running in those tires? i'd expect ~12-13psi cold for best results. get the tires HOT, a good burnout is the key ingredient in turning a decent time.

I was running 15lbs

looking at getting the linelock and then really heat them up 115 trap speed would be great that would put me deep into the 12 if not may 11:99

How spirited are you with the shifting?

Drag Radials and a manual usually dont mix. Beg, borrow or steal a set of 15 inch wheels with some ET streets or Drags on them and let it eat. That should net you a good 60ft. and for sure a better ET.

How much does the car weigh? Its hard to say what it might run without knowing that. With those mods, you should have the horsepower, it sounds like you might need some more seat time though. Good luck.
