Default So much for the transbrake launch, new best mph at least

Well the transbrake worked for the first pass and then promptly got stuck again so it wouldn't work. I guess I just need to replace this one with something else. Anyways I went out to the drag strip tonight in full street trim to see what it was capable of again.

1st pass was ugly, launched around 3000 rpm / 8 psi on the transbrake and blew the tires off. Not even worth talking about....

2nd pass the transbrake decided to stick and not work again so it was a garbage pass as I crossed the beam early and said to myself WTF while I was on the brake button.

3rd pass, was pissed about the transbrake solenoid and said **** it and turned it up a little bit to 15 psi to get kicked off for the mph at least.

~3800 ft DA, 15 psi on a 91 oct/104 oct mix (medium boost level) - 2.0 60' 10.55 @ 141.9 in street trim (17" wheels/tire setup, pass seat in, etc).

It sounds like its gonna be a beast when you get the T-brake figured out! Do you have any pics of your setup? I would love to see it.

Of course phone cameras suck, but none the less... At the 60 it looked like one of those Hotwheels tracks with the little rollers that shoot the car down the track...

Yea, tons of pics on my website. I really wish the solenoid wouldn't have been a bitch last night. The one launch I did get off it showed me the converter was working great and it came up nicely on the brake. With good tires it should get into the 1.4 60's pretty easily I would think.

Nice setup, good looking Camaro. I dont know if it would be possible to hook up leaving off the Tbrake w/17" radials, you might want to save the Tbrake for big tires.

When the tbrake does work I have played with it on the street and I can get it to hook around 2500 rpm/4 psi on the brake so I have hope at the track for a mild tbrake launch on the street tire setup, at least better than that whopping 2.0 60'. LOL! But I agree, the agressive tbrake launches will need the bigger tires for sure.
