Not bad for the first time out with an M6, but not good for an LS1 with some mods, what is your track altitude? what was your MPH? Put it this way, with bolt-ons, i ran 13.9-14.0s (9.2s in the 1/8) on 2.2 60fts. in the heat at 1500ft., in the cooler air, i managed a best of 13.79@ 101.04 on a 2.17 60ft.( 9.0s in the 1/8), this is with a 158K miled LT1 fully loaded, the LS1 cars were running .3 & 3-4 MPH quicker then me in the 1/8 with bolt-ons on the same 60ft. times, in the 1/4, they were between 13.2-13.3 @ 105-107 MPH.

A drag radial and more practice will help. You should be alot faster.

Its not the lowering kit. Look at your 60' time. Beacuse you had to go through the water box, killed your 60. Your spinning alot. Get a good set of drag radials. Such as Mickey Thompson. Take a look at your reaction time. A perfect one is .000. If you don't red light, your not trying hard enough.

Taking the subs out before you go to the track will help. If you don't live too far from the track, take out the spare tire and jack.

Just remember, reaction time has NOTHING to do with ET or that the car will run faster with a better reaction, the clock doesn't start untill you break the beam. The way i see it, unless you were spinning really bad or the track is at a higher altitude (2500ft.+) you should be faster then that, DRs will know doubt help alot, you need to give the low-down on the run, where the tires spinning bad (like through 1st. which i doubt with 2.1s) or did it hook up decent once you left, how high is the tracks altitude, this is VERY important. your 60ft. is not horrible for a street tire, 2.4s, 2.5s is horrible, 2.0s & your doing very well, 1.9s on street tires & your running with the street tire pros.

i would guess you just need some seat time. my first trip to the track in my m6 wasn't pretty either. i started @ 13.8 and ended up @ 13.2 4 passes later. just takes practice. if possible, go around the waterbox. on street tires, just roll them over a couple times to clean them off, NOT IN THE WATER. don't do a "burnout" persay. also, let air pressure out of the rear tires, down to maybe 20 psi. then just practice shifting and launching. the 60' doesn't look that bad.

the car in sig went 8.4 on a 2.1 60'. it's wicked low and has literally no suspension travel, getting it off the line is a bitch on street tires.

Quick Reply: fist time at the track, how did i do?
