Harwood hoods for a '98-'02 Camaro?
#4
I am in IL, so I am familiar with both VFN and Glasstek since they are local outfits. We have a Glasstek on one of our cars and a VFN on mine.
I know fiberglass will be fiberglass (meaning it is never perfect), but the Harwoods I have seen do seem to be a little better than others.

I have used all three. VFN on my 2000 Z28 (fits pretty good) GLASSTEK 6" Cowl on my 1972 SS Drag Car (Fits 100% PERFECT) and a Harwood 4" cowl on my 1979 Malibu (FITS LIKE ***!)
VFN or Glasstek gets my vote. Like I said my VFN won't take much to line up perfect, my Glasstek was perfect out of the box, and the Harwood even with work still looks like ****. We have sold a few harwoods here at the shop I work at, but more so Glasstek products.

The Harwood is actually a 2 1/2" hood, so not even a true 3". I have one on my Z and must say that it fit excellent. I did have to slot some of the brackets to get it to square up; but nothing major. I've heard good and bad fitment stories out of these hoods, so I guess it's a crap shoot. Shouldn't be for the price though.
