Trans Am guys with Shift Lights?
I cannot find a "good" location for my shift light. I bought a Harlan last year and never installed it since I couldn't find a spot I liked to where when I race, I just look down the track and don't need to keep an eye out for the light.
Anybody have anything creative?
BTW the light in the vents will not work for me, I don't like it lol

Nop. I have my arm up on the steering wheel, wouldn't see it. I've got gauges up the rest of the piller. I don't like them in the vents in the center either, I just don't think it's going to be bam! in your face in those bring sunny afternoons

Here is a video of my car. I placed my raptor shift light right above the gauge cluter on the overhang piece. It points directly at me and in my opinion it is the best place to put these. It looks great too, I will get some pictures soon. Video may not work, I have been having trouble with it.

Looks good!
I noticed in the video you mention how the stock tac is slow, but the shift light should be dead on, the way its wired, correct?

I am not positive, but I do believe the shift light should be dead on or close to it. My light is set to 5900 in the video and when i romp on it in 1st and 2nd, you can tell the tach is slow by about 400rpms in first and about 200 in second. It appears that the tach is finally climbing slow enough in 3rd for the tach to actually read correctly.
