Default Battery RELO/Killswitch/wire gauge suggestions

Trying to figure out why everybody seems to be running the Flaming River killswitch and not the taylor one. Besides the price, whats the difference between the 2?

Will 2 gauge wire be plenty or should I go with a 0 gauge?

What do you guys use to connect the factory power wire from the front of the car, that used to be connected to the +of the battery, to the wire that you now have to run from the back to this point? Would this terminal block work?

I went with a on/off style kill switch.

I really like the way that looks. I hate the look of a t handle sticking out the back of the car.

Where did you get that switch at?

**edit** just found the switch $25 is cheap for that

Mines the same as camaro396's, 2 gauge battery wire, 6 gauge for the alternator, with a taylor on-off switch.

I went with the flaming river push/pull, and we ran 0 guage. Hooked the O guage up to a bolukead connector @ the hvac delete plate, which gave me a nice power lug to use for internal power needs, then ran on the engine bay side a 0 guage wire that w soldered/crimped and heat shrunk together with the factory battery connections.

There's a 4 guage wire running from the ALT back to the battery + terminal, directly to the battery (I need to put a 200 amp fuse in that wire) so when the push/pull is used, the power from the alt only gets to the battery.

Hope this helps.

Isn't a Push/Pull a requirement? Or is the switch type legal as well?

I've never had them say anything about my on/off switch.

A push/pull and a quarter turn kill switch are both legal as long as they are properly mounted and labeled for on and off positions.

I made up this term. block to tie wires together in the front. It bolts into the stock bat. tray. 02 wire worked well
Also added 200A fuse on the back neg. cable. Dale
