Default Outlaw's 10.5w true tire width size?

maybe some of the outlaw guys can answer this question. what is the true width of the tire the Outlaw 10.5 class allows? they say they can use a 10.5w tire which means its wider than the normal 10.5 tire but how wide?

i run a 26x11.5x15 MT ET street DOT tire that turns out to be around 275/50/15 for all the drag radial guys and i must say my tire looks pretty narrow compared to the 10.5w tire. any insight fellas?

ive seen that and thats just the thing the 10.5w tire is more like a 11'' tire and even then they still look like they are wider than my 11.5 tires.

It depends on size of particular tire and the rim you run it on.

they show section width and tread width. those are the sizes you need to know. compare the various tires on there.

It's 11 1/4" on a m/t. Keep in mind your outlaw 10.5 tire is also 33" tall.

M/t makes a killer 28x10.5 and 29.5x10.5. This is what most guys use in limited street and true ten five races.

they say the 10.5 tire is recomended for a 10 inch rim. is it possible to use a wider rim to get the most out of the width of the tire leaving a wider foot print?

Usually manufacturers will say the rim size should be plus or minus up to 1" of the actual tire tread width.

You can use a 13in rim on a 28 tt5 tire with a beadlock. The 33x 10.5w can go on a 15in wide rim. The wide rim adds an extra inch to the tread on a 10.5w. Then add in the fact of the 33 being 5in taller. They really are two TOTALLY different tires.
