Just finished taking the heater box out, it took much longer than I thought, does anyone know if the HVAC delete plate goes on from the inside or the outside, I did a few searches but couldn't really find a straight answer...

plates can go on either way depending on the shape on the plate. i put mine on the inside because IMO it looks better under the hood

I was wondering the same thing. I haven't put my plate on yet,or dash back in. I guess my question is how hard would it be to take my plate off from the inside with the dash back in the car? I am thinking not to put some top screws back in so I can get to the bottom screws easier so I can work on the back part of the motor from inside the car.

it all depends on what u have removed frm behind the dash. my plate is mouted on the inside with the stock bolts and mounting points. i have nothing behind my dash and my plate is really easy to remove frm inside

y not use all the stock screws? its not that hard to remove with big A/C box jutting into the engine bay

Alright, more questions, I'm an idiot and thought I could thread the stock screws into nothing. I'm going to put the plate on from the inside, then I'll put the stock screws in from the outside, with some nuts on each one inside. Does that sound right? And also, did you remove all that rubber material over the tunnel and up against the firewall?

haha yea nothing to put those into. i used the 4 from the inside and then use other bolts and nuts for the others. just bolts and nuts we had around instead of the stock stuff.

for the rubber gasket thing we didnt put it back in, but im sure you could if you wanted to

I put mine in from the inside, used the 4 bolts and came up with the remaining nuts and bolts.

When you take out the passenger air bag, what goes there? I'm not familiar with how that passenger air bag works. Is the cover separate from the airbag itself?

you use the same plate just DONT eliminate the heater box only the a/c which is on the outside of the car in the engine bay.

Just did the heater box delete on my car today. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Couldn't get to some parts of the plate with the drill to get the screws in so I just calked the edges to seal it and spray painted it to match the color of the car. Turned out pretty good.
