Default Anybody ever plugged a slick?

Had a screw in the middle of my slick and just wanted to know if its safe to plug or patch.

that's a good question. On one hand, the psi is very low, but on the other hand, those tires take some serious abuse at the track. I do have a friend who plugged up one of his track tires. They weren't "slicks" though.

I'm curious to know the answer to this as well

go buy inner tubes.. problem solved!! but id still put a patch over the hole so it doesn't rip bigger

I had my one ET Street Plugged awhile back and have done many many burnouts and runs with no leaking and no problems, running 13-15psi at the track in it as well.

I did. I had no tubes but added them after I pluged the tire. never had trouble.

i work for a tire shop (goodyear) and if done correctly, the patch will be the stongest part of the tire and you should never have an issue

Had them do a patch plug combo thing with some kind of glue. Worked good enough to pull the tires a few times. I haven't put any air in it yet either.
