Default Converter/Gear/Tire Question

So I have a H/C 347 paired to a TH400 and a 9 inch rear. Went to the track yesterday and ran a 12.1 @115 with a 2.1 60' I had 26" et street radials that were shot and couldn't launch at all. the car had 4.10 gears in it and I was just kissing the limiter as I crossed the traps (limiter set at 6700). the converter was flashing to almost 5k and sat at 6200 after the shift.

Needless to say my converter is getting yanked and getting restalled. I plan on adding a fast 90/90, 1 7/8 headers and, giving it a good tune up (ran 12.1 on my n2o tune (19* timing) ) Once thats done I'll be running a 200-250 shot of juice.

I know I'm going to need 28" tires but what should I do for my converter and gear? I will most likely bump the limiter up to about 7k. Also, what do you think I could have run yesterday had I hooked and nailed a 1.6 60'?

Just going off your mph you are in the 11.50ish et range. Your mph should go up when your converter issue is resolved. Going from a 26" to 28" tire will have the effect of changing your 4.10 gear to 3.73 (actually 3.80) so I would only make one change at a time, it will save you time & money by not having to go back to a previous setup to see which change helped or hurt your performance.
