Default Need help and starting point on adjustable strange shocks

I just recieved my rear set and my fronts should be here tomorrow. I am new to the adjustable thing. Looks like the large **** is for the extension and the smaller **** is for compression?? Where do I need to start as far as a good spot to adjust them before I even put them on? Thanks for the help.

I would start from one extreme and work your way down. Lose on extension and compression then stiffin up as the car needs it. Or you can start stiff and loosen if your afraid of it comming up to fast/ high. Just remember to only change one thing at a time.

I am preety sure of what I am going to try on the front it is the rear that confuses me. Do I want the rear to compress easily for squat or do I want the compression set as tight as possible to help plant the rear tires into the ground? Seems both ways make sense??? Thanks for the help.

I'm right there with you, just installed my Strange fronts and rears last night and have no idea where to start. I have a sponsor going to help me via phone but I would like to get them close at least before we start.

Got some more info, hope it helps for starters.

Front Comp - 4 clicks or position 5
Front Ext - 2 clicks or position 3

Rear Comp - half turn or position 6
Rear Ext - 2 clicks or position 3

FYI 1. Always start out at zero, turn all ***** counter clockwise until they stop turning, this should be zero.Remember that the plastic **** that has the two small screws holding it on is the Ext ****.

Depends on what tire you are running. Some tires need to be hit harder than others.

Rears:
6 and 3 might be a good start for a regular ET Drag
7 and 3 For a Stiff ET Drag
Go stiffer for a MT DR

If the wheels pull too high tighten the rebound. If you blow the tires off loosen it up.

You want the rear shocks as tight as possible on the compression , other wise your giving up e.t.

What would a MT ET Street be considered in this equation?

You needt o hit those a little harder. Probably 5 and 3 on the rears. Fronts I would run the compression a click or 2 from full stiff to start, and about 4 to start on the extension.

If the nose bounces, loosen the compression one click, if the car spins at the hit loosen the extension on the rears one click, if it stands up then stiffen the extension.

Rear of the car is going to want to seperate from the car, which is what you're adjusting. You want to leave the rear compression somewhat stiff, as the rear shouldn't squat too much, unless you're on a total **** track in that case you want to let the rear compress some to get the weight back there to keep it planted.
