Footbrake it to just off idle, like 1000 RPM, then just stab and steer. Works best for me.

You are going to have to find out what rpm your car likes to leave off of. I'd start at around 2k and go up from there.

with a 3600 you would get your best results if you stalled it up to between 1500 and 2000 and let the conveter flash should cut some good 60' times

I'll bet if the car will hook getting the rpm up to about 1100 and then stabbing it will work best.

I tried alot of stuff when I was running on dr's and n/a and with the 5000 rpm converter that worked best. Stalling it up never helped any, just give it enough gas so it will react quickly when you stab it, just enough so the air won't stall when the TB gets whacked open

With my 3600 vig converter i always saw best results launching at 1200-1300 rpms. 1000rpm and it would kind of bog, 1600 and above and it wont hit as hard.

best so far for me is a 1.471 60" on a stock 3.42 geared 10 bolt in +2200 da

Agreed. 3500 converter on mine and trying to push it to 2000, 2200, 2400 is just a pain in the *** to manage while the lights are dropping. My 60 foots with DOT MT slicks and this method was about 1.73 +/- 0.02 Not exactly neat considering the ET was high 11.70's at 118 mph.

No spinning. It had nothing to do with spinning with me. It has more to do with getting the suspension loaded correctly. My car like to roll, lift and lauch, compared to holding the rpm's high, getting the suspension stiff and just jumping. Launching around 1500 shaved off 0.07 from my 0-60 easily.

I got a 5000 stall and i foot brake it to 3700. Dead hooks every time. Just need to go to the track and see what your car likes best. If you have adjustable suspension then that will play a role in how well the car leaves also. Good luck with the car!!

My best was off idle. 1.66 60'. Seems like with a stall as big as mine and bolt ons the car doesnt have the power to rocket off at say 2000rpm. Kind of bogs at first.

Same here. I tried many various RPM ranges and found it best to leave just above idle with my PT4000.
