Default Suspension Guys, put subframes on the car=hard as Heck to hook

99 Camaro cam car, bone stock suspension went 1.52. Put subframes on the car cause I don't want leaky t tops and this sucker is hard as **** to hook now, now this is on the street. I finally got it to hook somewhat but I still lightly hazed the tires and that was on 14psi...lol. I'm sure I could hook on the track but I need this baby to hook on the street as well. I have some lca's and lca relocation brackets that I just haven't put on yet. I'm on a 275 mt drag radial, looking for some 15x10 so I can run a 325. What should be next on my suspension list? Torque arm? Shocks...or???? Thanks.

. To run the 325 mt's you will need to cut your bump stops off of the car. Suspension wise, torque arm, lca's,lca relocation brackets, adjustable shocks in the rear, after that have tthe care scaled and balanced. Contact madman since your in the south.

Thanks for the info. Like I said I hav ethe lca's and relocation brackets just have to throw them on. Gonna go with a torque arm next I believe. What do most people run as far as rear shocks? I've heard of people just going with the cheapies in the back and getting good results?

.

Don't forget the tiny bit of slop in the car might have been softening the hit.
As you add stuff, it get's stiffer & the power hit's the ground a little quicker & harder.
When you have eliminated all body flex, roll, slop, ect, it's going to be like pow, instead of blam.
Just a thought. Plus it's the street, maybe they didn't scrap & spray that day??

Was the car "square" when you welded them on?

Do the doors shut properly?

Was it on stands or on the wheels when you put them on?

I had the same problem. Couldn't hardly spin unless I really wanted to. Then, welded on sfcs, couldn't hardly hook unless I really wanted to.
