Default k-member gusset

I'm getting ready to swap in a lq4, my goal with the car is to pull the tires some day. while I have the motor/k-member out I was thinking I should add some gussets just incase I do pull a tire. (tubular k-member) I have qa1's all around,I know I need different springs up front still. I have a welder and I can make what ever I need for gussets. anyone have any pointers, areas that are prone to crack/break when the car comes back down. any help/pics would be great.

thanks

look at the UMI Road Racing K-member. It has extra gussests in it to make it stronger for the extra forces that you would see on the street or high lateral G loads.

If the K Member is built right, you don't need extra gussets.

If it's a well known aftermarket tubular kmember, you don't need to add anything to it. They have all been proven with hundreds of people using them every weekend for their wheels-up launches. I've never heard of one failing in a drag racing environment.
