Default need info,

i posted this in the trans section but i think i will get the awnsers i need here. my car is 3600 lbs with me in it and makes 800 plus hp and 1000 tq at the wheels and would like to know if i would benifit more from a glide or 400. i keep breaking the input shaft and 1st gear sprag. any info on the better one as for as et would be appreciated.

Put the glide in it. We tried the 400 route and have better luck with a glide.

For the power level, I would agree. I would wager the gearing in the glide will calm down the car to leave good, and then of course, the lighter weight of the trans and parasitic loss makes a huge difference. The only think I worry about is race weight when it comes to glides and from what I have exp. most Fbodies using them are in the 2900-3200 range.
