Default Caster

I understand you want as much caster as posible. I am assuming the wheel as far rear of center/wheel torwards the driver compartment. I used the special gm tool to adjust my alignment today and used the tool as it stated in my manual and got the tire pulled as far back as the adjustment would go for stock control arms. My problem is that my printout read positive 2.4??? What am I doing wrong?? I thought positive caster was back of center not forward of center?? I did get it toe in as far as possible but yet in spec (for tire wear) and dead 0 camber. Rear is spot on with .05 thrust angle. But I think it might of been for nothing cause my caster might be wrong??

When I look at my car you can def tell I moved the whole tire back in the wheel opening so I think I am correct just trying to figure out why everyone says they can 5* caster. Either they are going the wrong way or I am.
